Sieve, jig, flip and sort — help with the game is here.
Swipe side to side to shake the fines through the mesh, then rotate your finger in a small circle on the stage with short up-and-down pressure to jig it in the water tub. A steady, gentle jig settles the heavy stones into a tidy dome at the centre. Tap once when the dome looks settled to flip it onto the sorting bench.
Sapphire, Anakie and The Willows all need an in-game fossicking licence first. Go to the Van tab, open Licence, and issue one with a name — then the pick and shovel become available at those fields. Sapphire unlocks at 8 kept stones, Anakie at 20, and The Willows at 40.
Simulators have no camera, so Gemfields Jig automatically offers the photo library instead — this is expected and not a bug. On a real iPhone or iPad, the first request opens the standard camera permission prompt.
No. Gemfields Jig has no shop, no currency and nothing to purchase. Gear choices (sieve size, tweezers, magnifier, tub) are trade-offs you switch between, not purchases.
No. Gemfields Jig runs entirely offline and never contacts a server.
