Gemfields Jig is an offline sapphire-fossicking game set on the Central Queensland Gemfields. It has no account, no backend server, no advertising and no analytics. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
None. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data, usage data, device identifiers or analytics of any kind, from anyone, for any reason.
The game keeps all of your progress locally, using Apple's standard on-device storage (files in the app's own folder, and UserDefaults for small preferences). None of it is ever uploaded. This includes:
The camera and photo library are used for exactly one purpose: choosing a photo for your in-game fossicking licence card. If you take or choose a photo, it is saved only inside the app's own local storage on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere, never leaves the device, and is deleted if you remove the app.
If you turn on "Spud's 7 a.m. bell," the app schedules a local daily reminder directly on your device using Apple's notification system. No data about you is sent anywhere to make this work, and you can turn it off at any time in the Van or in Settings.
Gemfields Jig uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks or data processors of any kind. The one bundled music track is a licensed audio file shipped inside the app; playing it does not involve any network request or third party.
Gemfields Jig does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone at all.
